Soon to Come, Slowing Down, and Sexy Parties.

College is a time when things like getting prepared for the new curriculum and other such items are a chaotic universe. We have to fight through the chains of financial burden just to make an investment in our education. I know I have been busy on multiple fronts with college prep, fighting a battle ground at the offices of my daily grind, and trying to find time for myself to relax from the chaos.

What’s happening here at the desk of Zero? I have a few articles I have been working on from my phone when I have down time at my daily grind or out and about town. One of them is actually pretty good with regards to content. I have found a potential editor for my new site revamp, so unless that falls through… I just need to find a photographer to fashonably capture me in my best and enjoying life, my pursuits, and good times. I hope to have the revamp up by end of July as well as my interview.

With school on the horizon, I foresee myself writing significantly less due to buckling down to finish the last of my pre-pharmacy course work and hopefully hit out to pharmacy school and take my PCAT’s. I’ll definitely try to put some fuel to the fires of ZeroXR 13mg, but I will not lie when I say it’ll be one hell of a battle. My offer for a guest editor to the site is still valid to anyone who wishes to make articles within my vectors. If you are interested, please send your inquiries to me again to info@zeroxr.com.

Lately, I have been thinking of doing another big “meet-n-greet” event for ZeroXR 13mg as well as a “Farewell to Zero ’cause he’s going to Commerce” party for my friends. I know some were excited to hear that I am leaving for school, but at the same time sad to hear that I will probably be obsessed with work and school. My party will probably be held closer to early to mid August before everyone else starts heading back to college as well. Cousin Sol will be dragged out to this event for sure… but I will blanket friends with the invite once I have everything penned down. Expect the place for this event to be both refined and fun… and possibly involving sharp pointed objects!

Speaking of sharp pointed objects… I am trying to possibly flesh out details for Cousin Sol’s 21st birthday. I do need help on one vector… Friends to come out to the event. Many of my loyal readers have heard the tale of my 21st birthday being the one blemish on my life I wish I could undo… but in light of that, I would like to make Sol’s 21st a fantastic one so he can at least have a smashing good time. (No pun intended of course…) I would like to be a brother to him and give him a gathering that would be impressive no less. Due to his love of medieval and feudal culture, I have had my mind set on Medieval Times in Dallas for the location. The time… That will be dependent on our school schedules.

Seeking a Guest Editor AND Photographer [Gig Opportunity!]

This site has been a bit of a personal haven to be, but I really think more fleshing out of the site to identify this site with me is in order. My biography is a little short and not really too descriptive so I would like to work on giving more detail to it. What does this mean?

I need to for someone to do a detailed editorial interview with me. I can recompensate for your time, energy and services with food and drink. The style of interview I am seeking is one much like the ones found in Men’s Style, GQ, Men’s Health, et al. Something that gives users an in-depth look at the writer, dreamer, and proprietor of the offices for ZeroXR. I need an interview that is both through but as well as fun with out seeming too formal. The better the article, the better I am willing to recompensate you!

I need a photographer for this interview to capture some of the dynamics of myself as well as even the simple things as well. I too will make you the same offer of food and drink in exchange for the images to be edited and showcased on ZeroXR 13mg as well as give you props for the image work. I will probably consult you for a advice on how to frame the images into the article as well. If you’re skilled in piecing together outfits for the images, that will definitely get you a much better gift on recompensation.

No past experience is required, but the only restriction is that you must reside in Dallas and the interview must be in person and possibly with the photographer. The itenerary is TBA once I can network with both parties to arrange for the interview. If you would like to enquire within, please feel free to drop me an e-mail at info@zeroxr.com with the subject of “Interview Editor” for the editorial job or “Interview Photographer” for the photographer bit. If any of you talented folks can do both, expect to be compensated handsomely.

Real Life Set-Back… [Site News]

Laundry is an interesting thing… It is the one thing that is the snag in my plans to hit the gym. For those wondering and hoping to see my routine again, it will have to wait. Oh well… It means I can throw my test post up and maybe see if it gets any bites. If anyone is looking for something to sink some cash into… check my next post coming very soon.

My Thanks to the Surgeon of Metal and Future Plans

I left ZeroXR 13mg with a post outlining a rather dire situation. As things were looking… they were not going to end well. That changed today. My friend David managed to finagel things so that we could attempt to try to salvage my predicament. The radiator, he picked up a stock unit from Gary out at Track Dog Racing for a fair price of $40. My deepest regards go to him for helping a student down on his luck. That sort of understanding is almost lost in the modern day era. This simple act of kindness from Gary has made me want to hopefully bring my business to his shop once my finances open up a little more so that I may be able to do my supercharger upgrade at some time. David managed to procure the new radiator fan for about $38 and the missing radiator hoses at $48, post tax comes to about $92. The last few water hoses and the fuel filter were the bitchy part, but once those locked in… we were good to go.

The test run and drive home yielded good results. Devil’s performance seems stabilized, even more so with the new radiator fan, obviously. Devil seems to behave in a more coherent manner now, which is important considering I am going to Texas A&M Commerce for school this fall. It’s good to see my machine in tip-top shape and once I can burn my gas tank down to the end and drop in some fuel cleaner… Maybe I might see my fuel efficiency increase.

Ultimately, I want to thank my friend David for helping me out with everything. It was troublesome, but to have a friend help you out when your funding has been tight means more than anything. I owe him big time for it, as a shop would have probably charged me a good $1,000 in labor easily considering how tight some of those hoses are.

Now… With Devil repaired, what does this mean for the office of ZeroXR 13mg?

I plan to hit the gym for sure and shift away from my home work outs. The home work outs were ok, but being around my parents while the recite depressing banter about me is not really an inspiring environment for important personal progress. Tomorrow, I’ll be returning to my push and pull schedule at the gym. I may try to push my limits higher. We’ll see. I’ll probably be doing my booster dose of creatine and carb stack with a finish of my whey protein shake for sure. Tomorrow for divinely great punishment… I will be doing push based exercises. Why? Cause I miss stacking weights on for squats!

I know I have been meaning to be less of a recluse… but with regard to my job falling apart on the inside, my family demanding more expedient repayment, and a few more automotive issues to be addressed… I may have to consider either a second job or do something to generate a good amount of money. I am playing with the idea of selling my PSP and DS… I love them both, but as things stand with my family for the most part… I may be parting ways with them.  If anyone knows someone who could use a DS or PSP… let me know, least before I decide to randomly throw it up on Craigslist.

3 Months – A Follow-Up and Progress

With retrospect to things… It’s close to 3 months when a chapter of my life that had cast an ugly hex on me finally came to a dead stop. It was a hard road full of memories I though were treasured, but when I analyzed them all and then looked at myself: I realized I was underestimating my own self. Of the 4 years worth of memories, there was only 1 year worth mentioning. The rest, I have forgotten and written in with brand new memories from my great and upstanding friends. You all deserve the highest honor for how well you all have supported me and kept me up beat. I lack the proper verbage and monetary flow to even express my gratitude, but to you all… I thank you dearly from my estatic heart.

So what’s been going on at the hallowed office of ZeroXR 13mg? Quite a bit actually! Russ and Yamcha had asked me to focus on good public relations due to the matter of my former associate essentially slandering and libeling my reputation in Dallas. So I have been trying to push myself to social gatherings for true fashionistas, original bohemian artists/photographers, geeks and intellectuals all around to immerse myself in good people and good vibrations. It has done well for my reputation as some of the supposed irreversible damage has finally began to shed off.

In light of the reputation talk… [Cue Announcement]

Rei who was runner up for my Bluetooth haiku contest will be receiving a Plantronics Explorer 350 courtesy of the “ZeroXR 13mg Looter’s Chest” and NewEgg. Newegg is where ZeroXR does his technology shopping online to snipe the deals and makes sure he gets a fair price on his goods. Let’s have a round of applause for Rei!

School is looming closer and closer with the passing of the days. I have my dormatory arrangements set-up and then the matter of financing my education being the final hindrance I need to seek resolution to. I basically have a short way to go before I may achieve my dreams of being a pharmacist, so I look forward with breaking new limits and setting the bars higher on my threshold for knowledge. The anticipation kills me as it’s like a showing me the gateway of power, but not giving me the keys to the kingdom. I look forward to possibly meeting new friends there and beginning the final steps on my career choice.

The site has been slowing down I know from my social tendencies to talk to others or even go to the bars just to drink and converse with good people. It’s been fun with my occasional quirky tangents, but I just haven’t had much of a budget for any new tech toys to test out. Conversely, that has lead me to enjoy some of my cheaper joys in life… like finishing my DS and PSP games which most are finally coming to happy conclusions! In addition to that, I have met a lot of new friends and building new relationships to build myself as sort of a ZeroXR remix rather than sadly dote on a past full of pain.

Lastly… I have been basically trying to relax when there’s downtime for ZeroXR 13mg or when friends bail on hanging out with me. Sol, my dear cousin, got me hopped up on World of Warcraft and I have been burning my time off there. Anyone who would like to venture around is more than welcome to contact me. Here’s my gamer data if you want to tag me:

Elune Server – Zeroxr – Human Mage (Primary)
Shadow Council Server – Luceferi – Human Paladin
Ravencrest – Elandranae – Night Elf Druid

Fears about Suzaku…

I love my little laptop… I really do. Though the last few days have me concerned. I have had Suzaku for nearly 2 years now and it wasn’t until recently that the poor machine has been heating up at a vast rate both in Linux and Windows XP. In Linux, there is minimal processor strain as I usually turn off the Compiz-Fusion effects and just keep my system functional. In Windows, I use it mainly to back-up my phone, hack/upgrade my phone, and (as of late) World of Warcraft. I know I had blasted a whole ton of latent dust bunnies out when I did the RAM install for my machine on top of ripping out caked up dust on the cooling fans as well.

It concerns me as my machine is usually on for a good few hours be it doing some bittorrent streams of Linux distros, movie/anime watching, web surfing, and games. If Suzaku is on the verge of death… I need to try taking the machine apart and see if it is due for another cleansing of dust and debris. I would hate to find that my machine that has treated me so well wants to give up. Let’s pray that is not the case.

What’s to Come for This Week…

Let’s see…

I will have my picture post of my misadventures with Sol to the new Saigon Mall out in Garland. I will evaluate my adventurings in the World of Warcraft, the only issue now is the final patching and choosing of classes. From there… I have a few things that I have to see that may be potentially fruitful for good things to come from them all. Potentially a busy week indeed!

I bid you all good night and good tidings! Tomorrow is the beginning of a new work week and even payweek as well! The long shot to Friday begins!

Charity begets Elegance [Thank You Post]

This past Sunday, I got my friend Wendy’s computer cleaned to the bare system and meddled with her request to have the system running Windows XP again. It took me a few hours to get it going but once all was well, it was grand. Wendy felt bad that I didn’t drink too much on my charity effort and wanted to do something a little more classy for me. She remembered that at the offices of ZeroXR, all I just had was a bottle of Yamazaki 12 year old whiskey and remembered I was trying to keep it only for special occasions… Well last night she ended up presenting me something far too kind for anyone who’s a fan of me as a friend or my site.

Shades of Blue

I was rewarded with a 750mL bottle of Disaronno Amaretto and a 750mL bottle of Bailey’s Mint Chocolate Irish Cream. I didn’t have much to drink earlier in the night, but it was spectacular to finish a night of consoling a few of my very close friends with romantic problems to have those bottles in my hands. The Disaronno I have had, however, the Bailey’s was rather new to me. I decided to have some in the safety of the office of ZeroXR after hours over ice. The silky dark chocolate laced with a refreshing hint of the mint made it stunning to behold. The best way to describe it be comparing it to a drive in a very windy mountain road with the top dropped down and the temperature of the air being 70F to just relax in simple opulence.

The two new bottles of liquor have earned their place as part of my stash of thinking liquors. By thinking liquors, I mean products that will be a “staple” for when I am buckling down hard on meaningful posts for the site and that could definitely use something to unwind and unlock my potentials. Yamazaki is purely too special to be squandered away… That’s for truly joyous occasions. Bailey’s and Disaronno however are wonderful pleasures that aren’t too difficult to buy.

“One for the Road!”

Before I turn into a pumpkin and meet sweet slumber… I think I may make a custom build and archive it to XDA Developers as a build for their “ROM Kitchen”. The build I have formed is stable, functional, yet beautiful. It is a fusion of the OEM HTC TyTN II Windows Mobile 6.1 build with bits and pieces obtained from the HTC Touch yet in a balance that is simply lean and minimal in lag. I can definitely post details of my build for those who wish to replicate it and I hope to also obtain screen captures of my Kaiser in action.

I do know one thing… I will definitely need a name for my build, should I go through with archiving it and making it available for public consumption. As much as I love Shinra from Final Fantasy 7’s fame, I can’t call it the “Shinra Enterprise Mobile Device” build due to legal copyright trademarks and all the legal mumbo-jumbo. It will have to be based on the ideals of my website, surely. If anyone has ideas for a name, feel free to pitch a comment up!

With this… I bid thee adieu!

Salvage Project Under Wraps!

A while back, my sister Alice took my parent’s nice point-n-shoot Canon camera to a party… she got trashed, dropped the camera and stepped on the LCD. I decided to see if there was a way to salvage the camera… to my surprise… there was! My family asked if I could perform the repairs, so I may take their request upon myself to do it. The initial investment is $60, but they did infer like the fact that if I can salvage the camera that it will be mine. I may just challenge myself with a project that could be fun! Stay tuned! I will see if I can get pictures of the repair via another person or someone being a camera person from my HTC Kaiser!
