A Fun Weekend with Cousin Sol and Laughs Galore!

Sol and I hung out this weekend… We pumped much iron at the gym as he wanted to see my regimen. We worked our sorry asses through the ringer. We also happened to chance by Fry’s Electronics to gaze at DVD’s, games and electronics… but on checking out… We saw something utmost sacriligious.

Wait for it…

BEHOLD!

Burger King French Fry Chips?!

If that ain’t a sign of the world caving in on itself like a shoddy house of broken dreams… I don’t know what is!

What’s supposed to be “funny”? My “pain” and “suffering” from torn muscle tissue!

Cousin Sol, my thanks for a fun weekend with much laughter and fun!

[Dreams] – “The Hero has fallen in battle! To Arms!!!”

Some of you all are well acquainted that I have rather vividly dream and have a skill set that is rather unique and odd. Most of you may have heard about my musings over a particular Stone Maiden that has been appearing before me in my dreams. For those who do not know… She started appearing before me back in 2003. This was after a wacky bout of romance went awfully wrong in my life and I assume her appearance was a sign that she wanted to help me find solace in myself. Her later appearances would be linked more when my romantic life was troubled and her only approach has been to console me with a warm embrace. These “tender” moments would be ones where I would be physically battered from broken bones and bound to a wheel chair for the most part. Her face has been veiled for the most part… until last month. The stone mask had the portion of the lips shatter off. Keep in mind, her face had been veiled since 2003… something huge is afoot.

I have told some of my friends about the more recent dreams with the Stone Maiden lately in hopes of someone trying to help me psycho-analyze the various parts of my dream. But the only issue now is that it’s gotten rather intense and the difficulty curve has gotten up. I have been “dueling” her lately, but last night, she remixed things up.

She wielded my strongest sword, the Death Blade, but wanted to challenge me to use my weakest sword… The Sacred Edge. The Death Blade is a rather destructive sword, but it is not unholy by any means. The sword is styled like a Chinese dao (broadsword), can launch waves of gravity to cut or crush targets, and weighs down the target each time it bites flesh. The Sacred Edge is rather “new” to me, so I have not discovered all of its abilities… All I know is that it has it has various holy inscriptions on the facings of the blade, it’s uniquely shaped, I can turn it into a force of light and direct it like a projectile.

The duel between the both of us was a pure duel, no special abilities at all. It was a fight of flesh and metal. The duel was intense… I was always shadow stepping at speeds of an estimated 80 miles per hour and the Stone Maiden, I want to say was moving even faster than I was. Each time our swords clashed, there was a violent shower of sparks. The visual sight of the battle was one that a spectator would just see 2 blurs moving at blistering speeds and violent clashing of metal. The battle raged for almost 8 hours… At this point, my strength began to fade… The Maiden caught me off guard and decisively struck me with the Death Blade. My speed would begin to fall as my body was being weighed down in a penalty. She would see my weakness and decisively land the crushing blows to effectively seal the fate of the duel. Her intensity was relentless, but she was caught off guard when I made a final charging stab at her. I would miss due to my hindered speed, but she would slice me right on my left cheek and slam the back of the Death Blade on my back of my head.

She had assumed I had the strength to get up, but she noticed I wasn’t even conscious… She began to be frantically concerned. The beach we were at was overcast, but the tide was getting high… I saw her carry me to a safe cove, embracing me. She tried everything to make me come to… but all I felt was like I had gone comatose. I want to say I lost complete consciousness and/or life within my dreams.

If anyone has insight on my dreams, feel free to drop a comment. I could use any perspectives you may have on my visions… Let’s hope I don’t get more of a beating when I hit the hay tonight.

Upgraded Ubuntu Hardy Heron LTS with a Remix

Due to the fact that emulating Windows is not a perfect “end-all” solution for me, I have decided to make a small Windows partition for my machine for the few times I need Windows. “When?” would you say I need the operating system of the evil empire? Phone hacking procedures and some backing up of my HTC phone are essential things that could be crucial. There are also some proprietary pharmacy education tools that require the use of Windows and sadly do not play nice in Wine (for Linux) or in a Virtual Box session.

I unfortunately remember why I hate Windows so much from lack of open standards… because my native resolution of 1200 x 800 is not there, nor was my wi-fi card.

Ubuntu, however has been a pleasant experience… I have loved every minute in it! PulseAudio has been a wonderful sound server! If I can sit down and really review it… I’ll give you my full thoughts. I am going to relax for now.

Why?

I aced part one of two on my pharmaceutical aseptic training course with flying colors!

Grateful Appreciation, Reminders, Meet-n-Greet Event!

Dear and loyal readers of ZeroXR 13mg, I am thankful for your very touching feedback lately with regards to stuff like the contest or just letting me know what all is good and what needs improvement. I am also thankful that in my time of need, you all have been supportive of me to help me stand tall once again. To you, loyal readers, fans, and associates… I say thank you!

I would like to remind readers that my Bluetooth haiku contest has been extended, if you have not taken notice, I advise you to take a gander at this link for the details: ZeroXR 13mg Bluetooth Haiku Contest The main point is to have fun and be snarky or creative… I am hoping to give some of you potential contestants some time to construct your haikus due to some people saying the 1 week time frame was “unfair”.

As far as tonight’s frivolities at Times Ten Cellars, I’d like to extend that event to EVERYONE who wishes to join. Let’s just call it a ZeroXR 13mg Meet-n-Greet event, you can meet up with me and possibly get some Ubuntu related door prizes if I can scrounge around for them… Be you enemy, comrade, or a peer of mine… I shall welcome you with my sincerity and maybe even offer you a glass of delicious wine if you can put aside your differences. What good is it to hold grudges or be xenophobic when life can be tragically short, bitter and dull? If you wish to come, please feel free to drop me a comment or even give me a phone call if you have my contact information.

Let us laugh, drink, and be merry to forget and forgive things depressing events of yore to temper and forge new and much happier memories. For when the day passes, what good is it do enter a somber sleep while harboring thoughts and musings with considerable pain and anguish? Let us seize the day while things are still ripe. Let us imbibe the essence of fragrant berries and feel alive once more. Let us just be humans who are living like today is the end of the world.

Seeking Inspiration – [Gaming]

Dear Readers of ZeroXR 13mg,

I come to you seeking help… I am one of those odd gamers that comes so close to beating a game and sometimes I end up just not wanting to beat it. This has me split down the line between 2 games…

(PSP) Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles
(NDS) The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Currently, I am grinding through (PSP) Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core so I am about done with that. I have Patapon which is sitting on the backburner until I can finish games that need to be done and gone with. My request is… After Crisis Core, which game should I finish next? I know my poor DS has been a tad neglected, so my inclination is leaning more to Phantom Hourglass, but I do need more compelling testimony to assist me. Drop a comment and let me know!

For those of you who are more fixated on the winner of my contest… That will be up soon.

Much love,
My \

The Sleeping Goddess Muses…

“What will become of us when the Goddess awakens? Will humanity cease to exist?”

It’s been a line of “poetry” that has ceaselessly bothered me most of this week. I can’t remember the rest of the poetry, but it just has me thinking about the “frail” existence of humanity. Face it, humans have done some pretty poor things to the planet and now all the sudden we are singing high praises  saying “The planet is important!” It almost somewhat after-the-fact of decades worth of going “Global warming, hogwash!” to now singing a tune of “We’ve gone green! How about you?” Then you have to reflect on disasters like blight, famine, pestilence, and even weather related disasters… Gaia, the earth mother, must be pissed as hell at us. As humans, we can be rather destructive to our planet. Some would even speculate that we are destructive by nature. All we can do is wait until December 21, 2012 and see what happens when the Goddess awakens.

PS – If you haven’t already… Check out the Bluetooth headset reviews and contest!
